Update Oct 2025 | New Masters Made it!

Hey all,
Thanks for standing with us in our journey here. God’s been good and there are a few things worth celebrating.
Joy in seeing the Master’s graduate
Phew, Just like that another executive master’s in global leadership program has ended! What a journey it has been to our family! The candidates graduated on 11th of September. There were 102 graduates from 50 plus nationalities, for AA, BA, and MA. We are proud of everyone, especially the 5 masters from Cambodia in whom we had a privilege to journey with for 21 months together. 64 master’s graduated, in which there were 25 graduates from our Asian Pacific Cohort. We really want to give thanks to all of you who have been praying for us and giving to us so sacrificially. You have made this master’s facilitation possible. Now these guys have clear goals and are better equipped to be leaders who bring kingdom transformation to various spheres of society. We hope that you can celebrate with us.

National Staff Conference
Every year, YWAM/UofN has an annual conference, a three-and-a-half-day time of refreshment, growing, and dreaming together. This year, our location’s got to host it. As Pheap serves on the National Eldership Team, she contributed in preparing the conference and setting the theme: “Persevering for the Greater Breakthrough.” She also served faithfully, translating during sessions and assisting behind the scenes. The event was a huge success! We sent everyone back feeling encouraged and ready for whatever God has next, which was especially needed as the recent border conflict had left many of us feeling deeply discouraged. Coming together allowed us to encourage and challenge one another to look past the difficulties and look for greater breakthroughs. Yes, God, may your work be done, and your heart be known by all people.

Border Conflict
In July 2025, a significant Thailand-Cambodia conflict occurred, escalating from a long-standing border dispute over territory. This conflict led to civilian deaths and widespread displacement of thousands of families. We were able to go help distribute relief to some of the displaced families in Siem Reap city. We gave rice, clothes, food, nappies, formula and school supplies. These things were just a temporary relief, but our presence and listening to their story and praying for them had encouraged them. We need to keep praying for peace, for unity, hearts to not become bitter, and that love will win.

Discipleship Bible School teachings
This year, Pheap had been invited to teach in two different Discipleship Bible Schools and it was really good. It was the same as before, She was teaching on the book of Joshua, Judges, Ruth and Psalms. Pheap has never felt this connected to the book of Psalms before. While we were out teaching, there were explosions & gun fire on the border of Cambodia and Thailand. In Psalms there are many lamentations and we were all able to lament to God together, and hold onto his nature and character and trust in Him. It wasn’t just head knowledge, but a heart that kept running to God.

Family update
Our youngest son is now 11 months old and will be one year old at the end of this month. He is very healthy. He grows so well, he learns to walk now and his babbling sounds more like a conversation. He is very well loved by the aunties and uncles on the campus.
Den is, now, in grade one and he will turn 7 next month. His Khmer language is getting better each day. He loves the youngest very much and always loves to play together. One thing Den absolutely loves is prayers, his confidence in God and His miracles really blesses us.
We are so grateful for all the love and support for our family. As our family has to travel a lot for teaching or facilitating programs, we are really grateful for our ministry partners like you who pray for us and give to us so generously. You have been such a blessing to us and the people we are ministering to.
We are looking at getting Pat’s Khmer citizenship after he finishes teaching in DTS and then working on getting Pheap’s Australian citizenship as well. We both need favour from the government and lots of money. To get Cambodian citizenship for Pat will cost roughly $1,000 USD (including getting documents, traveling to the Capital city) and Australian citizenship for Pheap would be about $9,365 AUD (excluding documents or services).
Prayer requests
Pat is in charge of coordinating a couple of large projects on campus, and he’s also been invited to teach in the discipleship training school (DTS) on the topic of ‘Character and Nature of God’ in the last week of October. Please pray for wisdom and discernment, and also for the students and staff as they journey together.
Pheap is praying for wisdom and discernment on how her next session will be as she hopes to spend more time with kids.
Please pray for our family’s financial situation. Our family is bigger, the needs are increasing, it seems like it never ends. Committed financial support is currently at 27% of our monthly budget which makes it hard for us to deal with emergencies, travel, attend different meetings, schooling, healthcare, etc.
As mentioned above, please pray for our citizenship applications:
Pat’s Khmer citizenship ($1,000USD) and
Pheap’s Australian citizenship ($9,365 AUD excluding documents or services).
Along with these prayer points, we ask you to consider giving towards helping us to continue serving. Monthly commitments especially help us to plan and stabilize the budget, and it doesn’t take a lot to make a big difference. The price of a monthly haircut, a dinner out, or a weekly coffee can be transformative when given consistently.
Your commitment brings stability to the mission. By becoming a monthly ministry partner, you ensure our budget is stable, allowing us to focus on the ministry rather than fundraising. If you feel led to make a big difference with a consistent, small commitment, please respond to us or find ways to give our site’s giving page >here< .
With the Christmas season right around the corner, we’re heading into a busy time so there should be more good news to come. Thanks for all the love and support.
Take Care,
Pat & Pheap.
