Who we are & what we do

About us

We’re a multicultural family of 3 that’s giving their time to help see the nation of Cambodia rise from the ashes of it’s not too distant past.

Serving with

Youth With A Mission

Both of us serve with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) at University of the Nations (UofN), Battambang, Cambodia.

UofN Battambang’s driving goal is to see the nation of Cambodia, which is mostly Buddhist, transformed in this generation; One Nation, One Generation. We’re in a pivotal moment in history to see that happen. After the national genocide that happened not too long ago, Cambodia is left with a younger generation that’s more open to the Gospel than previous generations. So the time to act is now.

There’s over 100 staff of mixed nationalities and lots of ministries here at UofN. All together UofN serves communities, educates youth and develops leaders. We have training ministries helping people to know God, His word and make Him known. There’s mercy ministries, evangelism, business as missions and community oriented ministries. We also serve churches in Battambang and around Cambodia.

UofN Battambang is also a training hub for Southeast Asia, so we host small and large events on premise.

If you want to know more about us as a campus you can check out the campus website here.

Pat

Hi I’m Pat, I have a heart for mercy ministry and discipleship.
Before going to Cambodia for international missions I was faithfully serving at a small church in Australia.

I coordinate I.T. administration and am part of a core leadership team for general administration on campus, in doing so I help 100+ missionaries in Cambodia fulfil their roles in serving the Lord.

With a lot of the the work I do I try to improve or maximize things and produce systems that can serve others long term. In this way I’m able to make sure the impact of my service outlives the time I put in.

I also help with Personnel and Staff development. I love siting one on one with people to talk about things that matter in life.
and Sometimes I’m invited to teach in School of Biblical Studies which uses an inductive method to study the bible.

Pheap

Hi I’m Pheap, I love teaching and my calling is to be a teacher.

I want to see more Khmer raising up as Godly leaders, who will lead others to follow God.

I’m also one of the core members for leading general administration on campus. I help facilitate good records and relationships with local authorities.

When Cambodia began to enforce their labor laws more strictly, I was responsible for ensuring the campus is registered properly with the local labor department ,and that newly required documents are issued to 80+ Khmer workers. Now people consider me the go-to person for general knowledge regarding compliance with local authorities.

As a teacher I’m sometimes invited to speak at other YWAM locations and churches in a few provinces in Cambodia.

It’s unusual for Khmer women to teach and lead in Cambodia.
I have received feedback that as a mum involved with both family and ministry, my life has challenged and encouraged other Khmer women to go beyond their perceived limits.

Our Mission

Serving Christ full time as volunteers

We both started our journey in missions under YWAM in 2010 and after getting married in 2016 we continued full time volunteer ministry with them in Battambang, Cambodia.

With Sopheap on the front lines teaching & speaking and Pat back in the trenches doing admin, we do what we can to help the church and YWAM to Serve the Community, Educate youth & Develop leaders in Cambodia.
