Update Dec 2023
Merry Christmas!
Just like that, 2023 is almost done and it’s been a great year. Sure, we’ve had our challenges, but we’ve also had so much joy and victory. We’ve seen God’s faithfulness in both our ministries and our personal lives.
What's Happened since we last wrote
Teaching Khmer Worldview

This is Pheap’s second time teaching worldview in English and she did it over zoom to help 10 people prepare to come on outreach to Cambodia.
40 Baptisms

40 people were baptized in our church this was a joyful day! When they planned how many people to baptize, it was only 35 people confirmed but on the day of baptism, there were 40 people baptized. To God be the glory!
Christmas Outreach

Over December, our campus held Christmas events in 11 different villages, reaching over 1,000 attendees with the message of Jesus. 1,000 gifts were distributed to kids for their schooling, funded by donations from CLC church. Pheap had the privilege of sharing about Jesus to 130 students and their teachers including the school principal, commune leader and some villagers.
In Cambodia, public displays of gratitude often accompany events like this and it was amazing to see village chiefs publicly saying “thankyou Jesus”. They may not have given their lives to Him yet, but it shows people’s hearts are open.
Community Night

This is a program that runs every week, and is probably the biggest consistent Christian gathering in our province. We’re privileged to confirm that another Khmer woman met Jesus during this time and she’s now serving Him full time.
Our boy turned 5 years old.

Just like that, our little son turned 5 years old! We are so blessed to have him as our son, he is growing so well. He is a feeler and can empathize with others and likes numbers. He’s already counted to 100
NLT Visitations
Photo of us visiting another location.
With Pheap being on the National Leadership Team, we traveled to other YWAM locations for pastoral visits to offer encouragement and individual support. We saw they’re thriving with consistent numbers of youth attending their programs. It was a source of inspiration, fueling our continued efforts. So even though this role demands significant resources, the impact is invaluable.
Pat's new team.

In addition to his existing roles, Pat is now part of the personnel and staff development team. We’re excited with this change as it will give Pat more opportunity for him to serve in areas closer to his heart. A few weeks ago his team facilitated a seminar on being a resilient missionary.
Just from October to December, we’ve seen a great response to the gospel. Youth are rising up to lead their people, people are being healed, hearts are soft towards the gospel and lives are being given to Christ.
Facilitating the Next Masters Program
This is very exciting! The Executive Masters in Pioneering Leadership, will start for Asia in January. This time around, there will be about 35 candidates including 5 Khmer. Pheap is one of the facilitators and will travel to all the 5 locations with the candidates.
A Glimpse Into the Impact of 2023
People gave their lives to Jesus through the programs and ministries we facilitate on campus like Community Night, Salt Soccer, CLC Church and hosting several youth events & camps.
- 45 Students took part in the Discipleship Training School in order to know God and make Him known. At least 105 people heard the good news and 7 people gave their lives to Jesus.
- 20 Students came to deepen their understanding of the word of God through the School of Biblical Studies.
4 of these Students went on to receive further training and then went to 13 locations to teach on inductive bible study. They spoke to 546 people, saw 7 salvations and 1 baptism. - The SALT soccer ministry had 7 young members accept Christ.
- Jeevits House, a children at risk ministry, held a kids camp with 2 other children at risk ministries in town. About 100 kids attended the camp. Throughout the week, the kids heard the Gospel and began to understand God’s love. The outcome of this is that the kids felt blessed during the camp and most of them wanted to have another summer camp the following year. This was seen as a fruitful time to love many kids from the community and also provided insights on how to run more kids programs in the future.
Personal Highlights
- Pat Baptized someone for the first time.
Earlier in the year - Pheap was emotionally troubled to the point that she just wanted to just stay in bed and didn’t want even want tomorrow to come. But after attending a global leadership gathering the Lord ministered to her. She’s much better and has more energy to serve and is excited for tomorrow.
- We were able to visit Australia for the first time in seven years.
Please Pray
- For our health
- To process the year with the Lord well
- Continued victory to press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
As we look towards 2024, our hearts are filled with anticipation for what the Lord has in store! He’s continuously opening doors for us to make an even greater impact and reach even more people with His love. So we continue to trust Him for the resources needed to match His plans.
Year-end giving is significant to our overall budget. This year, we’re trusting the Lord to provide an additional $7,000 through year-end gifts. Would you consider giving a gift of $500, $250, or even $100?
Every contribution, no matter the amount, makes a significant difference! Your generosity will fuel our ministry and allow us to continue sharing the message of hope and love to those who need it most. Together, we can truly make a world of difference.

Thank you for your continued support.
It’s an awesome privilege to be part of a community who are committed to serving the Lord. When we say community we don’t just mean the people here in Cambodia but also all the friends and family we have like you who stand with us in prayer, finances and just being there for us. We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you so together we can look back at 2023 and be thankful for what He has done.
We pray this season will be filled with joy and good memories for you and your loved ones.
Blessings,
Pat & Pheap.
