Hi,

Thanks to you, we had a great time away, but we’re thankful to be back in Cambodia with renewed energy and sense of purpose.

Pat is focusing on language learning, and Pheap was able to plug right back into work with the following:

  • Preaching during one of the weekly community nights.
    She also facilitates this weekly.
  • Translating for the school of biblical studies for three books of the Bible.
  • Translating for a meeting with Loren Cunningham, the founder of the Youth With A Mission movement.
  • Facilitating administration for the organization we work with.

Praise Reports

We are so thankful to the Lord for the privilege of being able to serve the community, educate the youth, and develop leaders here in Cambodia. Pheap was able to preach in our weekly gathering on the topic “Mary: Believing God for the Impossible.” It was so encouraging to see the response of so many girls who have put a limit on what God can do in their lives. Seeing this really blesses Pheap’s heart, as she really wants to see a breakthrough in Cambodia’s mindset that women cannot lead.

Another praise report is that we bought our very first motorcycle, thanks to our friends, who love us so much that they took the initiative to raise money to surprise us with this great gift. We have been serving here for more than 7 years now, and we have never had our own transportation. We are thankful that our friends allowed us to use their motorcycle so that we could do our ministry, go around the city, and take our son to and back from school. Now we’re thankful to have our own transportation.

Jayden

He’s almost 5 years old. He is very smart, loving, and has a sensitive heart. Lately, he has started recognizing letters in his name. He is very kind and funny. As Pat has to study Khmer full-time until the end of June, Jayden has to travel a lot with Pheap as she needs to attend different meetings and conferences. People who travel with us were so impressed with his capacity to travel long distances and obey Mummy’s words. He is a blessing.

Pat is enrolled in a “Khmer Boot Camp” and is enjoying it. He thought his current Khmer speaking ability would help him blaze forward, but he’s finding it’s more like trudging through mud. Sometimes you can take a few steps forward; other times you need to wrestle with the stickiness of the mud. Overall, he’s moving forward and is starting to recognize more words in conversations.

Please Pray

  • For Pats health and
  • For rapid growth in understanding & speaking Khmer.

Partner With Us

We are full-time volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in the world. Our work here helps to serve communities, educate the youth, and develop leaders.

Currently, we have enough support to cover about 30% of our monthly budget, which makes it difficult for us to travel, attend meetings, or deal with any unexpected expenses like health and emergencies.

We have a couple of upcoming costs and would like help covering them:

  • A trip to Kona for Pheap, who is a volunteer at our organization. We want to buy his flight ticket by the end of June to help avoid price hikes. – $3,000
  • Costs for attending a conference called ‘Global Leadership Gathering’ in Thailand, where we will be representing our organization and sharing our work with other leaders. – $800

We know that you are busy and have many other commitments, but we hope that you will consider partnering with us. Your support will allow us to continue our work and make a difference in the lives of others.

Thank you for your consideration.
